Hi, I am Gen. I help you find things and understand how the program works. Lesson and teaching questions belong to your Coach, and I will point you there.
DIRL™ · Book One
This is the start of the whole program. Read the promises, sign your contract with yourself, and set your own deadlines. Everything you write here is kept, and you will see it again at the end of the year.
Read this first. It is the opening of the program and it explains what you are about to do and why.
This program is created to enrich your soul with motivation and step-by-step guidance to improve your personal and professional relationships, learn life skills, better interaction skills, understand and love yourself and others, and have fun while coming into a blissful peace that lasts through the rest of your life.
This introductory workshop is a thorough discovery process to intentionally CHOOSE who you are, how you act, to CHOOSE every aspect of your lifestyle, relationships, present and future, and teaches the skills necessary to CHANGE ANY ASPECT OF YOUR LIFE forever, to suit your needs.
You Will Learn To:
This textbook teaches the fundamental life skills for: 1) Inner healing, constant pride of character in choosing who you are, in every moment. 2) Outward forgiveness with unconditional acceptance. 3) Total peace forever, no matter what goes on around you.
Let us not go off half-cocked with backfiring guns ablazin', but instead let us consciously CHOOSE who we WANT to be, and become that best version of ourselves.
The entire meaning of life, the only purpose any of us have for existing in this world right now is very, very simple — to love everyone and everything all the time, for eternity, in joy-filled peace, as one.
We are ALL one human race. We ALL have the same color blood running through our veins, which has to pump all of our hearts in order for us to exist, survive, and live at all.
Accept that everyone is an individual with their own birthright to feel, think, like, dislike, want and need whatever they personally believe is good for them, regardless of how horrible that can be for you at times. We cannot change others; we can only change ourselves.
No one ever has the power to take anything from you that you do not give to him or her; therefore there is a certain level of accountability necessary on your part as well.
It is recommended that you devote at least one hour every day to this, incorporating the lessons into your everyday life.
Your journaling is absolutely key to your success in this program.
Understand that actual change occurs through repetition over time. It takes 28 days to build a new habit.
Explore ALL of your likes, dislikes, skills, and talents, in reality, not just by hoping to someday get around to it.
Every workshop ends with a Cheat Sheet, after this first workshop, which ends with 3 filled-out Action Plans and at least 1 completed goal. A Cheat Sheet™ is like Cliff's Notes, but customized for you and about you.
The compilation of everything done during this workshop culminates as your Personal Dossier™, which is like a very detailed personal resume. It is developed from your journal, with a template at the end of this workshop.
Upon completion of your Personal Dossier™, you may submit to receive a certificate.
You are going to be bringing up a lot of issues in order to resolve pain from your past. You do not want to create tension in your process of self-discovery at your job, with your family, in any of your relationships. Just be sensitive to the fact that change can be hard at times, and persevere through it.
This program is meant to open up your awareness to all your options. I want you to become a well-rounded, secure person.
I believe in this program because it's the process I went through for 30 years, and it really has changed my life. I'm in no way even remotely perfect, but I can tell you assuredly that I am a thousand times better than I once was.
Above all else, while you are working on these things, please remember that you DO have a support group of people available 24/7/365 who will talk with you and help you get through the difficult parts.
If you ever need someone to talk to, need help to get through the darkest moments, please call the numbers on the resources list. There is no shame at all in reaching out for counseling or support.
Protect and nourish your soul throughout this time of new beginnings. Do not begin new relationships or friendships during this process because you will be too fragile. You are susceptible to emotional attacks, and they will come from everywhere when you kick this off. This is a time of learning and changing to grow into your personal best self, so it is best to keep the process to yourself until you are finished.
Your journal will become your Personal Dossier™ at the end of this workshop.
Journaling can be a form of release for your emotions. People cannot and should not express every thought that comes into their minds. Writing those thoughts down allows you an opportunity to express those thoughts and emotions without hurting anyone's feelings.
Another benefit of journaling is that you will have something to look back on when you are thinking more clearly, with less emotion weighing on you. It also gives you insight into your personality and interests over time, building your confidence in how far you've come.
Just start writing and see what comes naturally for you.
Your original required reading list from the workshop manuscript.
The full original list runs to roughly 60 titles spanning relationships, healing, spirituality, and self-help.
What is your goal? Write down one very short, extremely concise, clearly defined objective. Now, do it.

Your actual behavior, what you do, how you do it.
Not just paid work, but what you work on in your life generally.
The use of physical or mental energy to do something with an earnest attempt.
